New Star hospice is a program offering support to patients and families who are dealing with life-limiting illness. We focus on quality of life, for patients and their loved ones. We have helped many families through this difficult journey with dignity and grace. We are here to offer you the physical, emotional, and spiritual support you all need to be able to make the most of this time together. We have compassionate clinicians throughout Texas, so we can care for you like a neighbor, because there’s a good chance you are.We are Medicare certified and licensed in the state of Texas, and accept Medicare, Medicaid and most private Insurances with hospice benefits.
Hospice care involves a core interdisciplinary team of skilled professionals and volunteers who provide comprehensive medical, psychological, and spiritual care for the terminally ill and support for patients’ families. Hospice care also includes the provision of related medications, medical supplies, and equipment. It is based primarily in the home, enabling families to remain together. Our trained hospice professionals are available 24 hours a day to assist the family in caring for the patient, ensure that the patient’s wishes are honored, and keep the patient comfortable and free from pain.
